Drop-in Baby time (for up to 12 months) and Story time (up to 4 years / preschoolers) are for grandparents, parents & other caregivers and their little ones – every Wednesday morning, Almonte branch. A fun New Year’s new activity!

Seed library news! Gardening season will be here before you know it. The MMPL seed library is accepting donations of seeds – check here for information: https://www.missmillslibrary.com/seed-library/  Also, volunteers are needed to help sort and package seeds at the Almonte branch on Saturday, 25 January, from 10am t0 2pm. Thank you!

January Travelogue CANCELLED – Unfortunately the 15 January MMPL Travelogue about Kenya is cancelled. See you 12 February for the next one about the Northeast Coast of Spain.


Did you know your library lends various sizes of snowshoes for all family members – loan period is one week. Also to borrow are Gatineau Park trail passes and Ontario Provincial Park parking permits: These are all on a first come first served basis (no reserves or renewals). Spanish Conversation Group meets the second & fourth Wednesday of each month. This is a drop-in group where people come to chat in Spanish to learn, practice, or maintain the language. There is no obligation to come to every session. Participants are intermediate to advanced speaking level.
