Explore Fossils – May to June – ALL AGES
Draw, make a collage, do a rubbing, perhaps book a time to use our Makerspace…or create a version of a fossil of your own at home!
Create an art or craft piece based on a fossil in May or early June – then have your work included in the Explore Fossils exhibition in the branch’s Corridor Gallery in June, as part of a show about the Ottawa Valley’s unique geology.
Work at home, or come to the Almonte branch library workspace to work with the materials (see photo).
Leave your piece at the Almonte branch, along with your name and contact information on the back (please indicate if you want your work saved, to be picked up). Work should be unframed, 2-dimensional (or low relief) and not exceed 8.5 x 14 inches. If your piece is painted please make sure it is dry.

Last Sunday marked the 20th gathering of the MMPL 3D Print Group!
We often get asked, “What’s the biggest thing you can print?” Well, with a Prusa Mk3, just like the one at the library, one of our talented members is currently printing a full-sized R2-D2 from Star Wars! Piece by piece, it’s coming together, and it’s amazing to see!”
Curious about what you can create with 3D printing? Join us at the next meetup! Every first Sunday of the month at 11:30am, Almonte branch.
