LEGO SumoBot is back for March Break!

Robot-sumo is a sport in which two robots attempt to push each other out of a circle (in a similar fashion to the sport of sumo). At the Almonte branch library, each participant builds & codes a sumo-bot using a Lego Spike kit and a laptop with the help of Steampunk Education instructors. Once the bots are ready-to-go, participants pit the sumo-bots against each other, and a winner is declared! This is a FREE program for ages 8 to 13 (participants must be able to read to code a robot). Register here: https://form.jotform.com/250556122991256

Many thanks to the Elizabeth Kelly Foundation & Lanark County for their generous financial support of this program.

During March Break week (10 through 14 of March), Library Baby time and Storytime continue on Wednesday morning, an inside Winter Scavenger Hunt in the kids sections at both branches runs through the week, and colouring pages are always available to help little ones enjoy time in the library!
