ESL Conversation Circle – We are pleased to share that Lanark & Renfrew Immigrant Settlement Services (LRISS) will be resuming its English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on January 15, 2026 at the Almonte Branch from 2:30-4:00pm. We welcome newcomers and community members back for another engaging session of language learning and connection. The Pakenham Frost Festival starts this Friday and runs until January 25. Join us at the Pakenham branch on Saturday, 24 January from 12-4 (extended hours!) for some family friendly crafts and snacks. If you can’t make it out that day, feel free to stop by to pick up and take home our craft-in-a-bag, available throughout the Frost Festival.

School is OUT, but seeds are IN! Come join us for a SEEDY PD. Families are welcome to drop in anytime 1-4pm on January 30th at the Almonte branch for crafts, and activities in collaboration with our Seed Library. Participants of all ages can help decorate and design seed envelopes, learn how to fold origami seed envelopes, sort seeds, make seed mosaics and learn about what is sleeping under the ground.
