TD summer reading club registration opens June 10 – pick up your log book!

(NOTE: Library Kids Summer Camps & STEM camps registration starts mid-June)

This summer, participate in the TD Summer Reading Club, Canada’s largest, bilingual reading program! Join the Summer Reading Club for your chance to win prizes just for reading. It’s easy to participate! Here’s how:

Step one:
Any child from birth to 12 years old can join! Drop by any library location to receive your summer reading club notebook. They will be available on June 10 both at Pakenham and Almonte branches. There are two children’s summer reading notebooks available:
• Pre-reader (birth to 5 years)
• Reader (6 to 12 years)

Step two:
Read. Record. Repeat! Read as a family, read to your pet, listen to an audiobook, read to your sibling or to your friends, have a reading party, or read by yourself in your favourite reading nook! Record every book you read in your reading notebook.

Step three:
Enjoy extra activities online: answer weekly trivia questions; vote in the battle of the books; read web comics, silly stories, and eBooks; laugh at jokes written by kids, print colouring sheets, get story starters, and watch videos. Participate, leave your comments, share your stories, and jokes. To participate online, visit www.tdsummerreadingclub.ca and create an online account. Register with the web access code found in your reading club notebook (if you do not have a web access code, the system will generate one for you automatically).

Step four:
Drop by your local branch every week with your notebook, show us your progress and receive stickers, stamps, and tags for your backpack as prizes for your reading fun!
