Best wishes to Meaghan Davies, our Children’s Librarian, on your maternity leave!
Meaghan is an engaging and integral part of the MMPL team. Staff and patrons will miss Meaghan’s enthusiasm and creativity, her assistance skills and her well-organized, efficiency while she is on leave. Have fun, Meaghan! See you and the new family member soon at baby time!
(Meaghan’s last day (until she’s back from maternity leave) is Friday, 12 January: plenty of time to drop by to wish her well!)
Welcome Sarah Reside!
Sarah is back with Mississippi Mills Public Library – this time as a Librarian Assistant. Sarah will host storytimes and baby time in Meaghan’s stead, and she’ll help with children’s, teen and adult programming. You’ll see Sarah mainly at the Almonte front desk. (For those who remember, in the past, Sarah was a summer programming employee and has often helped at the front desk when needed over the years.)
This New Year brings quite a few new, exciting shifts and challenges at the library. Yet, as always, MMPL’s mission remains “to inspire lifelong learning, provide equitable access to information, advance knowledge and strengthen our community.” MMPL’s vision is an informed, engaged, creative & connected community.
