2024 south Ramsay reimbursement Plan Update
On October 11, 2023, Mississippi Mills Public Library (MMPL) extended the Ramsay “non-resident” reimbursement plan for those south Ramsay library patrons using Carleton Place Public Library (CPPL) in 2024. The MMPL Board set the reimbursement rate at $45 per household to a maximum total annual allocation of $1000.
How was this rate set?
MMPL Board reviewed current data including a comparison of Eastern Ontario libraries’ average non-resident fee, which is $35, and Mississippi Mills Public Library’s non-resident* rate set at $30 per person and $45 per household.
The south Ramsay reimbursement plan has been in place since 2021 and most reimbursements have been issued to one person per household. MMPL Board currently reimburses $30 per person. Offering a reimbursement to south Ramsay Ward households aims to help cover more of the Carleton Place Public Library non-resident fee, currently charging $90.
What is the history of this reimbursement plan?
The south Ramsay Rate Plan has been in place since Oct. 1, 2021. More information about the plan here.
