Although it’s not yet December, a certain season is fast approaching and these two items need to be highlighted!
The Angel Tree has arrived at Pakenham Branch – 38th year!
If you’d like to help/participate, please pick up a tag from the Pakenham tree. All gifts should be returned unwrapped or placed in gift bags no later than November 28 to the Pakenham branch.
2023’s “angels” represent 840 children across Lanark, Leeds and Grenville directly associated with FCS and its programs, each deserving of a special Christmas gift. What sets this year apart is the program’s inclusivity. In addition to gifts for children, there’s an option to buy gift cards for teenagers or groceries for families in need, extending the holiday cheer.
This program is run each year by Lanark, Leeds & Grenville Family and Children’s Services and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Monetary donations (cash or cheque) are also accepted. Read the full story here.
We thank everyone in advance for participating in the Angel Tree Initiative. Your assistance will help make Christmas a special day for a child or young adult.
Visit your library to enter your name in a draw for advent calendars made by a generous library patron!
Two names (one from Pakenham branch’s participants & one from Almonte’s) will be drawn at 4 pm on Nov. 24. Good luck everyone!
