So much generosity for the Angel Tree in Pakenham!
Residents & library patrons once again went above & beyond with Christmas cheer. Thanks to all, for your interest in this worthwhile endeavour. To those who missed out on picking up an Angel Tree tag this year, there is always next year. Unfortunately the need does not go down.
Get a Grip this winter!
Boot grippers are once again available at both branches of the library – thanks to a Carebridge initiated program! FREE to those age 65+ and $25/pair for people under 65.
The library needs “holiday cheer” message-writers for cards going out to seniors in our communities!
Many donations of extra holiday cards were received (thank you!!) but now we need more message writers! PLEASE come by the library to write a few cards – or bring a half-dozen or so home with you to write and then bring back. Also, if you have extra cards at home, please consider writing some cheerful messages in your extras and bring them to the library for staff and volunteers to distribute. Children can draw pictures in the cards!
Friends of MMPL at holiday farmers’ market this Saturday
Visit a table full of beautiful gifts & library-themed items at the Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 am to 1 pm. The market is located in the upper hall of the John Levi Arena, Almonte. This is the last market of the season! The Friends hope to see you there!
