Brenda Chapman is a Canadian crime fiction author with over twenty published novels. In addition to short stories and standalones, she has written the lauded
Stonechild and Rouleau police procedural mystery series, the Anna Sweet mystery novellas, and the Jennifer Bannon mysteries for middle grades. Her work has been shortlisted for several awards including four Crime Writers of Canada Awards of Excellence. She currently writes full-time and makes her home in Ottawa. The mystery, Blind Date is Chapman’s most recent book.
Recently, Chapman was shocked to discover thanks to a Google Alert that two of her books were among the top 10 audiobooks borrowed from the U.K. library system this year!
She spoke with CBC Ottawa Morning about the pleasant surprise of her novel’s recent surge in popularity abroad.
