The library needs volunteers to pack seeds and become part of our Seed Squad!

This year the MMPL Seed Library has received amazing donations of all kinds of vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs, from bush beans to marigolds, dill, coriander, peppers, lettuce, squash, melons, kale, beets, radish, calendula and so much more. Ours is a great community of gardeners that very generously shared their bounty. The library staff has started packaging and labelling all the donations but we need help! If you have the time to pack seeds at home, we’ll appreciate your help, and you’ll be contributing to a great community, beneficial project.

The library will provide volunteers with a small or medium amount of seeds (your choice), seed envelopes (already stamped), a glue stick, a pen and instructions. You will provide a teaspoon (to measure seeds) and nice handwriting!

If you are interested, please contact Berta at babaroa@mississippimills.ca or 613-256-1037 to ask for details or arrange pick up. Thank you to all past, present and future Seed Squad members, we couldn’t do it without you.

MMPL Seed Library will open again on 20 March with the arrival of spring.
