This initiative is in it’s 36th year!
If you’d like to help /participate, please come by Pakenham Branch to pick up a tag from the tree. All gifts should be returned unwrapped or placed in gift bags no later than December 4 to the Pakenham Branch Library.
This year the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Family and Children’s Services and Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Angel Tree program is starting off with a record 700 angels. The “angels”, assigned to trees, are children directly affiliated with Family and Children’s Services and affiliated programs. The goal is to provide a Christmas gift for each child.
Monetary donations (cash or cheque) are also being accepted. Cheques can be made out to Lanark County Family and Child Services (please write Angel Tree in the cheque notes). A tax receipt will be issued if a name and address is provided.
We thank everyone in advance for participating in the Angel Tree Initiative. Your assistance will help make Christmas a special day for a child or young adult.
