Chair, Pam Harris, on behalf of Friends of the Mississippi Mills Public Library donates $1000 to Schoolbox North’s Executive Director & Co-Founder, Sarah Kerr, to support the NIISAACHEWAN ANISHINAABE NATION learning center / library project!!
SchoolBOX North partners with First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth leaders to ‘make education possible’ for kids in Indigenous communities across Canada, a territory with more than 634 First Nations and over 50 Indigenous languages. The Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation is located in the Treaty 3 territory on the border between Manitoba and Ontario, north of Kenora.
