The League of Canadian Poets has a campaign called Poem in Your Pocket Day every April, during poetry month.

At the League of Canadian Poets site (click here), there are 15 “pocket size” poems to read, listen to (audiofiles) OR to download as poem postcards! So fun!

Mississippi Mills poet, Dagne Forrest is among the 15. Her poem “At Dusk” is very evocative. Her poem in postcard version is included in this post. Congrats Dagne!

The selected poets of 2021 are: Dagne Forrest, Natalie Lim, Pamela Porter, Laurie Koensgen, Catherine Graham, Marion Lougheed, Stephen Bett, Eleonore Schönmaier, Laboni Islam, Margo Wheaton, Louisa Howerow, Moni Brar, Kim Fahner, Rae Crossman and Andrea Thompson.

(You can also purchase the postcards from the League’s site.)
