Interlibrary Loan
This service is available at both Almonte and Pakenham branches. Interlibrary loan (ILL) offers patrons of the Mississippi Mills Public Library the ability to request materials that our branches do not carry. The request is put through the Ontario interlibrary loan service, and if the material is available it will arrive at the Mississippi Mills Public Library for use by the requesting patron.
A patron may only request three (3) books or audiobooks per week. No DVDs are available via ILL at this time. Requests for material published within the past 12 months will not be accepted.
A librarian will contact the patron when the ILL material arrives – but note: it can take up to 3 weeks to arrive. Many libraries are not yet participating in the interlibrary loan system, so availability of titles may be limited.
If you require multiple copies of a title for your book club please email ill@missmillslibrary.com with title, author, number required, need-by date and date of your book club meeting.
